With Elden Ring currently dominating the gaming sphere then, it was only a matter of time before a Minecraft player created an impressive Elden Ring build. Brought to life by game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy author George R.R. Martin, the world of Elden Ring is a novel and fresh experience, filled with rich lore and interesting details alongside similar elements that fans would expect from a FromSoftware fantasy setting.

Minecraft may not be the first idea for many when they imagine an Elden Ring crossover though. While Minecraft involves a game world full of monsters trying to destroy the player’s home, the enemies aren’t nearly as difficult as those a player faces in Elden Ring. More than just the enemies though, a crossover between the worlds of Minecraft and Elden Ring would seem strange due to the difference in the atmosphere and tone of both games. However, one player managed to bring this crossover to life, surprising and impressing fans of both games by creating a large island reflecting a portion of the map found in Elden Ring.

It seems as though the Minecraft player, who posted their build to Reddit, created everything from scratch for their Elden Ring island. From an island that looks like an anvil, to a large, gothic castle sitting atop it, there’s plenty of impressive things to be found in this build. Fans in the comments were quick to praise the Minecraft player’s attention to detail in their creation, and how they captured the vibe of the darker Elden Ring. This isn’t the first time that Minecraft players have made builds that may have seemed strange at first. One player recently created a huge Cyberpunk 2077 skyscraper in game.

Beyond making grand builds in Minecraft, players have also been able to make some creations outside the game, such as one player who was inspired by the bees in Minecraft to create their own custom PC. It’s more than likely there will be more Elden Ring builds coming to Minecraft too, as the game proves to be astonishingly popular with both critics and general audiences.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
