There are many players who will be able to instantly take to the game and also enjoy all of its more interesting intricacies and unique quirks. However, there are still going to be some players who may want to know about common mistakes they can make in the game, and how to properly avoid them.

7 Forgetting The Healing Pellets

Healing pellets are going to be really important, especially in the harder battles a player will be facing against in the game. A player is usually going to be the support unit in a team, so they will be doing the large majority of the healing.

If a player is not constantly well stocked with healing pellets, there may even come a time when they are in a difficult battle and cannot heal. As such, though it may be a bit pricey, it is more than worth it to stock up on healing pellets.

6 Dying Without Saving

Unfortunately, the automatic save system in Dragon Quest Treasures leaves a lot to be desired. If a player dies, they will get sent to their last save point - which, as it turns out, may be very far back in the game.

In other words, if a player is not careful, they could find themselves in that exact situation. Luckily, though, it is worth noting that the game automatically saves when a player entires a bonfire - which are scattered all throughout the game, so a player does not have to worry too much about automatic saving.

5 Entering A Fight While Ill Prepared

Preparation is everything when it comes to the battles that a player will face in Dragon Quest Treasures. It is seriously important for a player to stock up well before a battle, otherwise disaster could strike.

It is already noted that a player must always ensure they have healing pellets with them, but a player should also remember to carry the other types of pellets. While a player does best with healing pellets, it is worth getting other pellets (such as elemental pellets for weaknesses) to attack the enemies with.

4 Fighting Monsters With Levels Too High

It is worth noting that, although a player could very reasonably fight off enemies that are a little higher level in them, it is not something that they should be getting used to, or punching too high up. A player can aim high, but not too high when it comes to the enemies of the monsters they can fight.

Fighting enemies that are above the enemy’s level can be a bit tempting, as it will undoubtedly net better rewards. However, a player should not really go more than a few levels above, as then the enemies will start to hit harder.

3 Not Having Enough Chimaera Wings

Chimaera Wings are going to be incredibly important for a player, due to the fact that it works in a way that will let a player escape from battles without the chance of losing their treasures. Without Chimaera Wings, the chance is always there.

They are relatively uncommon in the game Dragon Quest Treasures, so it may be a bit frustrating to not have enough. However, it would be very important for a player to gather them up - whether by finding them in the world or buying them when available.

2 Forgetting About Team Composition

Team composition is a lot more important in the game Dragon Quest Treasures than it may seem like at first. In fact, the Golden Ratio - a ratio that will guarantee what kinds of treasures will drop when - is entirely dependent on team composition.

If a player does not take in any monsters whose favorite treasures are the treasures being dropped in a particular area, then they will end up with what’s essentially a wasted trip. As such, a player should think carefully about their team before going out, as it could dictate the amount of treasures they get.

1 Forgetting About the Dragon Meter

The Dragon Meter, though not properly explained in the game Dragon Quest Treasures, is actually pretty important for battles. A player who does not know about the Dragon Meter will miss out on what’s essentially a powerful attack that can be used to clear out enemies.

The Dragon Meter fills up as a player goes through their adventures and battles. Once it’s filled up, though, a player will have to press R in a battle to be taken to the menu that will allow them to select what special attack they want to use.

Dragon Quest Treasures is available on Nintendo Switch.
