The Republican senator from Kentucky told unvaccinated Americans not to listen to “demonstrably bad advice” on vaccines, but his remarks have put him at odds with some in his own party who have placed the blame for vaccine hesitancy on the Biden administration. Some prominent Republicans on Capitol Hill have strongly criticized the White House’s efforts to get the public vaccinated, especially the plan for people to go door-to-door to encourage Americans to take the shot....

In an audio recording of a recent call between Obama and a group for former members of his administration, first reported by Yahoo News, the 44th president described the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic “an absolute chaotic disaster.” Obama also said he is worried that the “rule of law is at risk” in America when talking about the Department of Justice’s move to dismiss the charge of lying to the FBI against General Michael Flynn, a former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, who had pleaded guilty....

His comments came about two weeks after former President Donald Trump advised all Americans to get the vaccine as well. McConnell made his comments on Monday afternoon while taking questions at the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) Hazard Clinic in Perry County, Kentucky.
