A Reddit user by the name of u/mattbatwings2 has gone that extra step in Minecraft by building a ginormous and fully-functional version of the classic block game Tetris. What’s even more impressive about this is they have built the entire thing using redstone, an element in the open world that allows players to string circuits together to create moveable structures. Enter Reddit user Jerinch and their giant chicken. Earlier today, Dream posted a lengthy essay about the speedrunning controversy to Pastebin and linked it on his official Twitter. In it, Dream explains that he was accused of cheating during a Minecraft speedrun by moderators of the official Minecraft speedrunning leaderboard–and, more importantly, he also explains why. After speedrunning Minecraft 1.16 for about a week, Dream managed to get a time of 19 minutes, reaching his goal of a time under 25 minutes, and immediately started trying for a new record on Minecraft 1....

Reddit user Phantastik recently shared a clip from their Minecraft Seed in which they were able to trap some sheep and cows in a confined area using fences diagonal from each other. The Minecraft fan was able to capture three sheep and two cows using this technique to show how baby animals are still able to fit through the narrow gaps in the fencing to the surrounding Minecraft world. This method doesn’t seemingly serve a purpose in Phantastik’s video, but it’s a proof of concept that some other players may use to improve their farms....

The spectacle of these crossovers varies; some are limited to just skins, while others — like the recent Sonic DLC — change the game significantly by including whole new levels, bosses, mobs, and even gameplay mechanics, all of which are inspired by whatever the featured guest series is. As the Sonic and Star Wars expansions have showcased, crossovers with Minecraft can be grand, and one can only hope whoever the gaming titan crosses paths with next can match, or possibly surpass what’s come before....

The head of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, Lieutenant Bob Kroll, posted an image of the “Cops for Trump” T-shirt on his personal Facebook page over the weekend, the Star Tribune reported. It features an American flag in the shape of Minnesota with three law enforcement badges alongside it. Kroll wrote that the shirts would be available for purchase at the union’s headquarters on Monday and will later be sold online....

Roughly one dozen Minnesotans traveled by bus from Twin Cities to London, Ontario last Friday to purchase insulin for a fraction of its cost in the U.S. The group reportedly made the trip, in part, to raise awareness and criticize the fast-growing costs of medical care in America. “This one was purchased in Canada for $34 and this one in the United States for $380,” Deb Souther, a member of the group, told Fox 9....
